To My Reader

Wishlist Wednesday #13

wishlist-wednesdayThis week is killing me. I’ve been taking exams all week and they’re still not over with. I feel bad because I haven’t gotten the chance to read much at all this week. I still have a Wishlist Wednesday pick though! This blog Hop was started by the lovely Dani from Pen to Paper and it lets book bloggers around the internet share a book that they desperately want on their shelf.

Countless people have recommended this series to me and I have read the first book Throne of Glass. I’m sure many of you will recognize the author because she’s gaining popularity. I’m currently trying to re-read the first book to prepare myself for the next installment. I’ve heard wonderful things about this sequel.

17167166 Title: Crown of Midnight

Author: Sarah J. Maas

Format: Hardcover, 420 pages.

Caution: If you haven’t read the first book, be warned before reading the synopsis below.

An assassin’s loyalties are always in doubt.
But her heart never wavers.
After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king’s contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown – a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.
Keeping up the deadly charade—while pretending to do the king’s bidding—will test her in frightening new ways, especially when she’s given a task that could jeopardize everything she’s come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon — forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice.
Where do the assassin’s loyalties lie, and who is she most willing to fight for?

I’ve been reading so much contemporary lately that I have to make the transition into fantasy for a bit. I’m still kicking myself because I can’t believe I haven’t read this yet. I loved the first one! I have a feeling that this series will be huge. There are already four more books planned to be released! Fantasy is one of those genres that I can completely lose myself in and I can’t wait to continue on with this series.

What are you wishing for this Wednesday? Share it below.
