Wishlist Wednesday #10

wishlist-wednesdayIt’s certainly been a couple of weeks since I’ve done a Wishlist Wednesday and with the holidays quickly approaching my “Want-to-Own” shelf just keeps growing. For those who don’t know, Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly post where bloggers share a book that they desperately want on their shelves. Credit for starting this blog hop goes to Dani from Pen to Paper.

This weeks choice has been out for almost a month now and I can’t wait to get it in the mail. World After by Susan Ee is the very anticipated sequel to AngelFall. (Click Here for My Review)

12983100  In this sequel to the bestselling fantasy thriller, Angelfall, the survivors of the angel apocalypse begin to scrape back together what’s left of the modern world.
When a group of people capture Penryn’s sister Paige, thinking she’s a monster, the situation ends in a massacre. Paige disappears. Humans are terrified. Mom is heartbroken.
Penryn drives through the streets of San Francisco looking for Paige. Why are the streets so empty? Where is everybody? Her search leads her into the heart of the angels’ secret plans where she catches a glimpse of their motivations, and learns the horrifying extent to which the angels are willing to go.
Meanwhile, Raffe hunts for his wings. Without them, he can’t rejoin the angels, can’t take his rightful place as one of their leaders. When faced with recapturing his wings or helping Penryn survive, which will he choose?

I ended up absolutely loving the first book and after many months the second one is finally available to order. These books are short, however the author is able to pack a lot into 300 pages. The reviews I’ve seen from fellow bloggers have said nothing but good things and needless to say, I’m beyond excited! For those of you who haven’t started this series I highly recommend it and feel free to read my review for the first book.

What are you wishing for this Wednesday? Share it below.
